, and swat tourniquets have helped officers in the Blacksburg Police Department make a difference before EMTs arrive. The kits were used during an emergency situation and helped to save a person’s life.
Tourniquets to Be Distributed Along Boston Marathon Route
On race day, police officers will carry life-saving devices on their duty belt. A QuikClot®
Belt Trauma Kit™ that includes tourniquets, pressure dressing, special gauze, and a set of gloves will be distributed to key personnel positioned along the race route.

US Coast Guard Tactical Medic Course
