Lorain Officers Help Save Stabbing Victim's Life.

After a near fatal stabbing, a Lorain man may owe his life to an extra-prepared Lorain Police Department officer.  According to police, officers carry standard first-aid kits in their cruisers that contain field dressings and basic medical equipment. In addition to those supplies, Haring said, he kept a onetime use QuikClot Combat Gauze packet in his squad car in case of emergencies.  After talking to paramedics, they told him that having the kit likely saved the man's life, Watkins said.
